Premiere League & World Soccer Thread

I doubt it will either. I hope they’ll agree on some tweaks though. Goal line technology is fine, and has been for a while. Implement WC-style automated offsides (which I think they are already), only allow replays to be shown at full speed, limit reviews to 60 seconds. If you can’t decide that quick, it wasn’t clear and obvious and just go with the on-field ref’s call.
I'd be behind most of those. Idk what the normal time of a VAR review is per type of incident but it always feels like offsides takes the longest. Get the angle they want, get the freeze frame right, draw their lines, etc… it's just too much. There are plenty of other issues with VAR but having the offside technology from the WC would solve so much of what I hate about it already. Not all of it by any means, but it's a good start.

And of course in true PGMOL fashion they are getting the offsides technology…but it wont be in use until after the first fall international window..

Chelsea men's team may still be a work in progress but Chelsea womens team just capped off a dynasty like run. 5th League title in a row. They are going to miss Emma Hayes. Bittersweet though as I’m happy that if she is leaving it is to coach the US women's team at least. Lots of young talent to mold before the next world cup.

One club conspicuously missing from the animations.

“In spite out our best efforts to remove you from this league, you’re somehow still here. So we’ll just pretend like you aren’t.” What a bunch of absolute children.
