Didn't see this posted, so I thought it would be interesting for discussion. TideWarrior or any of you Bammers have any insight? This is all I could find thus far:

Would not follow team rules......this has been coming for awhile he had been dropped to the bottom of the rotation at safety.

He would have seen considerable playing time this year and most def next year, I hate see him go, but he def had issues. I got to watch him in high school as I am right outside olive branch and he is a playmaker without a doubt! I wish him the best. Saban doesn't sugar coat it for anyone, sell out or go home.

Damn that Saban is good, getting Rod Woodson to come out of retirement to play for Bama. The money he's paying guys must be off the charts.

How is Bama looking at safety? Weren't they lean on experience already? Obviously they have talent.

Coach Saban was on 6 o'clock sports, he said players have to do what is expected of them, if not, then there are other talented players who can step up and play.

That's a statement I hope the Vols' coach can be able to make again one day. We are in a spot where if a starter doesn't step up, we all fall down the stairs.

Commercieal Appeal reporting Woodson was released yesterday by Saban.
Any chance we could get him. He was a 4* and the 14th overall safety per Scout. Anyone heard anything about this?
CA is sayin he might go to Memphis! Unless Saban wont release him to SEC I cant imagine that being where he wants to go!

be surprised if Saban released him to SEC or any team he might play

I thought he was kicked off the team. In that case, would Saban still have to "release him" to another school? I thought a "release" was the result of a player request.

Sorry, Saban said "he will transfer", he also said " It was mutually agreed" and did not give any detail as to why. So I dont know if he was in trouble or academics.

Evidently he was in Saban's doghouse...had a poor attitude according to Bama fans.

Saban is thining the herd. Look at the number of true schollies he has to give this year. I heard on the radio yesterday that it was something like 7. He has been doing this for awhile now.

Saban has a plaque hagning in his office that reads:
