Ole Miss releasing recruit Floyd Raven Due to LOI Forgery

If I had to guess, the word "forgery" blows this out of proportion because it's such a strong word. It was probably an honest mistake

Im not overly pleased with this regardless of how good the kid is.

I still believe this was an honest mistake. Mom must have filled it out for him and thought he had decided Ole Miss. He didn't.

Still, I'm kinda shocked a 4* athlete didn't have a table/hat/dog ceremony

If he is not a lunatic....should be a very good get for you guys.

6'2 180 and can run. If he has any cover skills at all he should be tough.

Not all of the athletes these days are obsessed with being in the spotlight.

I heard this story on the radio yesterday, that a mother of a high school recruit signed a letter of intent for her son to attend Ole Miss without his knowledge. He intended to sign with Texas Tech. When Ole Miss became aware of what happened, they allowed the kid to nullify the letter and he did sign with Texas Tech. Has anyone else heard this story? I think his last name was Steele, but I'm not sure about that.

Yeah it was on ESPN...but don't know how that confusion could take place. Houston Nutt was vague saying he did not want anyone who wouldn't want to be here. Player said his mom was trying to help him out..weird story..

Mothers sign the LOI for their kids all the time. Floyd was going to Ole Miss, and then he got re-recruited by A&M and suddenly changed his mind and came up with a story to get him out of it.

Look at some of the quotes he made:

"I forgot to tell my Mom I was going to A&M"

Surprising that his Mom would risk being ridiculed due to some shady recruiting tactics between A&M and her son.
