Braves or Bama?

Currently both the braves and bama have an upper case cursive A for their logo. The braves A doesn't have that stupid swirl at the top like bama, but other than that they look about the same. Which team started using it first? I remember when the braves had The lower case a on their hats, and I think I remember bama just having a "block" or uppercase "print" A, but I can't find when each team switched to their current logo. thanks for any help!
