Coming from a team that scores over 50 pts routinely and presses their opponent to just stop them, this strikes me as a bit hypocritical.

"That's total (B.S.) that he threw the ball at the end of the game like he did,'' Aliotti said, referring to Leach. "And you can print that and you can send it to him, and he can comment, too. I think it's low class and it's (B.S.) to throw the ball when the game is completely over against our kids that are basically our scout team.''

Mike Leach, Washington State Cougars 'low class,' says Oregon Ducks' Nick Aliotti - ESPN

What on earth...that guy's an idiot. That's Leach's offense. It's not like he's going to install an entirely new playbook just because Oregon has backups in. Plus the hypocrisy there is just hilarious.

This is hard for me to say but I don't think I've ever been as confused about a negative comment as this one. You want Leach to stop running his offense simply because they're losing? Do you want Stanford to kneel the game out if they're down by 4?

Also, Oregon was still throwing the ball up 52-7 against us. Hypocritical much?

It's completely baffling. I don't know if I've ever heard a coach make a dumber statement about a game, and that's saying a lot after watching a Dooley-coached team for entirely too long.

Football is all about classiness now

Don't beat your opponent too bad or talk about them and hurt their feelings

I feel better now

Their fans defense of this is great. "We run the ball with the second stringers in the 4th." Not sure why they don't class it up even more and just take a knee the entire 4th.

At what point should the opposing team just run it out? Down 20? Down 35? Down 52? Help us out here with some classy education, Ducks!

The losing team should just stop trying to "win" because they have no chance and therefore it's classless, is the most absurd thing I've ever heard. I always kind of liked Oregon and if a team was going to end the SEC's reign they would've been one of my first choices. At this juncture I'd like to see Saban cram it down their throat up 21+ and see him ***** that they should've stopped running the ball, cause its not fair. Oregon has made a living of embarrassing inferior opponents and now they expect you to just lay down and take it.

No way in hell I'm pulling for Alabama over Oregon.

I have never heard a coach complain about the play calling of an opponent that was losing before...Aliotti seems to be saying that Wash St should have been content to lose the game by whatever score Oregon deemed sufficient since the Ducks weren't trying to run up the score and were playing reserves deep in their depth chart. That is very odd logic and how should that make those Oregon reserves feel? I wouldn't feel like I was much a part of the team if one of my coaches was asking for leniency when I was in the game...Having said that, the Ducks could have scored 80 on us and I appreciate that they didn't.

I'm not really happy with Allioti's comments. Although, Oregon is use to seeing opposing teams pull the starters once Oregon pulls there starters. Give both teams a chance to get playing time for the kids down the depth charts.

Keeping the starts in just so he can get some "record" is really not fair to the kid anyway. Why risk injury to your starters when the game is "over".

Oregon "calls off the dogs" on a regular basis in blow outs.

So because Oregon is used to seeing teams pull their starters its to be expected? If Aliotti's comments had been, "its stupid to leave him in and risk injury just for a record" then his comment would've been better taken, but still none of his business. Instead he implies it was classless because UO had marginally-talented players on the field and Leach was embarrassing them. Oregon takes advantage of marginally-talented teams every week. Y'all pulled your starters after going up 52-7 on us. At 45-7 was there concern we'd come back? You could've pulled offensive starters at half up 38-7, after you scored 38 unanswered. It wasn't a game anymore and EVERYONE knew it. Unfortunately, our kids and coaches probably knew it.

I could care less how Helfrich, Briles, Urban etc choose to manage the game and their teams, just don't call foul (or allow your assistants) when it's done to you. I still can't wrap my head around Aliotti's thought process since UO was winning.

I didn't care for Nick going off like that, it wasn't very professional and made the school look bad imo. Would have been better to just wait til next year and hang a hundred on them. :D

I was surprised that the pirate would risk injury to his starters with wazzu still alive for a bowl but that's his business.

So you hang a 100 on a team you already beat handily because they don't run their offense the way you'd like them to? Solid logic. Y'all need to lay off the shooms in the NW, and tell Aliotti to as well.

Guess I was wrong about Ducks having classy fans. A team can do whatever the hell they want when they're losing by a lot. There is no logical way to defend any part of his statement.

No, I wouldn't. I would hang a hundred on them to wipe that smug gloating look off of Leach's face as his starters manhandled the walk ons though. Guess ya had to be there.

You won't be on top forever brother, trust us. Someday wash state is gonna blow you the hell out and remember your place in the world. If wash state is losing maybe leach decided they needed all the practice they could get against a good defense. Who are you to question it. 59 will be hung on you regularly in the not so distant future and you'll understand what I'm talking about

Aww, Wazzu ran their offense against your 3rd string? My heart goes out to you.

You mean like the smug look on Chip Kelly's face that was wiped away after they got shut down by Auburn?
