Weis is a dead man walking on campus after this latest loss to Navy. he will be fired.

notre dame has all the money in the world to hire any coach and they want meyer. It's his dream job, i say he is as good as gone in the SEC.. with tebow leaving after this year the writing is on the wall.

He would be wise to leave while he is on top, 'cause next season could be full of surprises with Tebow no longer leading the offense. Not to mention competition in the SEC is getting tougher. He would have a much easier road to BCS bowl games and potential championships at Notre Dame.

I say he takes over for Lane Kiffin when UT runs him after the 2011 season.

Its pathetic that I am still up..More pathetic that I am online.

But you sir have me beat, for the above mentioned with the added fact that you are a Gator fan on here.

2am, NYC on a Saturday night and you're trolling a UT forum. That's 2 late nights in a row when you're living in the city that never sleeps.

How sad is your life?

I hope Meyer stays with the Gators, we have a nice rivalry brewing now. Its tougher to win at ND now and i think Meyer knows that, i honestly dont think he leaves..

Just because I live in Manhattan doesn't mean I should be hanging out in Times Square with the goofy tourists. I happen to be in Titletown (Gainesville). Are you not wasting your time as badly as I am? Especially when you choose to respond to me?

It's not like Florida doesn't have the money to pay Meyer either. Meyer has Florida built right now and I would be SHOCKED if he were to go to ND. ND is the most overrated school to coach at IMO.

I think/hope Meyers stays where he is, at least until Kiffin beats him. If he leaves? I'll laugh my butt off!

Nice homer perspective. Like FU has any kind of tradition... You just don't want your boy to leave, and I can understand that, but be real... any coach that goes there..... and wins... will be a legend. FU is a car passing in the night. No tradition there.. just one more SEC team on a great run. In 2 or 3 years... probably next year, they will be an also ran like most everybody else. It's like the FU hoops team. Would you rather coach there, or UNC/UK? Would Billy jump at the opportunity to go to Chapel Hill? Maybe, maybe not, but there are certain teams.. programs that have way more potential for a great coach to become immortalized. Witness: Ara Parsegian (spelling?). Quick.. who was FU's coach at the same time?

Yeah, because Times Square is the only thing to do in NYC at 2am.

Titletown? So you're in Green Bay then?

If you paid attention, I live in Hawaii, 5 hours behind the East Coast, so it was only 9pm when I wrote that while waiting on the wife to get home. I had much better things to do at 2am than trolling a gators site.

Admit it, you can't sleep at night wondering what the big mean Vol fans are writing about your gators.

I'd rather see Meyer at Notre Dame than Brian Kelly, and that's regardless of where each one is currently coaching.

Kelly is doing a terrific job recruiting Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky from the public schools. If he goes to Notre Dame and is able to add the Catholic schools in those states to what he currently is able to get, they'll be a perennial top-10 team in a very short period of time.

I'm sure Meyer is their top choice...and he should be. Kelly ismt a bad consolation prize.

I read over on the MB that Kelly wouldn't leave. Something about his wife being sick, her doctors, family, and stuff. I also don't think Urban leaves either. Florida will have a good team. Brantley is one heck of a passer so if they get some good receivers then they will still most likely be a continuous 9-3 10-2 team for years to come. Recruiting is easy when you are at Florida. Same as a few other coastal areas. Weiss will probably be aound for at least one more season. If Florida was to have a horrible season next year(chance of that is slim) then they would probably try to convince him with a blank check.
