This is bringing back some memories of growing up in south Florida. Cannot remember a program that just dominated the way Miami did in the 80's.

New decade is on the horizon, would like for 2010'-2020' to be the decade of THE U T except without all the thugs.

JJ's attitude reminds me a little of a coach we have in Knoxville now.

Makes me wanna watch some smash mouth football.

Media pulling up every bad thing they can about them, other teams accusing them of anything they can come up with.....sounds familiar. I just want all the physical, hard hitting, game winning football....but without all the off the field drama. LOL

Lol i could deal with that as long as they won as much as Miami did.

I'll take the off the field drama (as long as it doesn't result in NCAA sanctions....) to be able to beat the rest of the country senseless like Miami did back in the day....

man those teams at miami were unreal...then the sanctions hit and they went under then that changed in 2000?? and they beat #1 UCLA and went on another run until Butch Davis left for the freakin Browns imagine if Butch actually stayed down at the U how much that program would have won

They won after he left too though. Even though the most success was with the players he brought in.

We beat The "U" 35-7 in the 1985 Sugar Bowl...they wore all the army gear and got it handed to them. They didn't give us a shot in the dark to beat them.

Dangit, I miss the dancing. I miss it a lot. Sucked when it was the other team doing it, but when it's your guys it's awesome.

Does anybody think that this UT coaching staff is doing things similar to what Jimmy Johnson was doing at Miami? When they said that "Coach Johnson told us just to go out and win, and he'd take care of everything else." ?
