Struggled to beat a handicapped overrated Texas team while getting all the breaks.

Congrats!

Don't forget to send Daniel Lincoln a thank-you card. ;-)

They probably had the easiest NC game but I wouldn't call them the worst. 2007 LSU was maybe the worst and even they had an easy game against an overmatched OSU team.

I disagree, but then again, even if you're right . . . being the worst BCS title winner is sort of like being the ugliest centerfold.

If they would have handled Texas then they might have avoided this title of worst BCSNC team. But like I said in the OP, they struggled to beat texas' second string. Not very impressive IMO.

Well all I know is that last T.D. was really classy Nick Satan. You really know how to man up and show them "Horns" who's superior. Alabama makes me sick............

Good thing UT didn't have to deal with an opponent's backup QB in the big game.

Please. They at least won all their games. The Miami team they beat, even if people wanna cry about the PI, was loaded even with Coker as coach.
They won half their games by 7 or less, and two in overtime, while playing in a weak conference where they didn't even play the other co champion. They're a slightly more talented, and slightly luckier version of this year's Iowa team.

Karma will bite them in the arse next season...hopefully in the form of a upset victory in Knoxville.

Defense wins championships, even with mediocre offense. This is true in college or pro. Saban is a great coach despite being a prick.

The Big Ten wasn't as "weak" then as it's been lately. They still won all their games. Didn't 2007 LSU lose in OT to Kentucky and the week before the SECCG to Arkansas? 1998 UT barely won a few games like Syracuse, UF, and Arkansas. Not sure I'd call an undefeated NC who beat a great team in the NC game the worst when there's plenty of 1 loss champs to choose from.

There's a crapton of those Buckeyes in the NFL. They would destroy this year's Iowa team.

Yea cause the situations are soooooo similar SA.

Last I checked, FSU at least was prepared to play with their 2nd string guy. Whereas Texas had no idea they were going to play their 2nd string guy for 98% of the game. But you knew that....
