I know it’s hard to believe with what we’ve gone through. But I believe Pruitts really got this. He knows football and has an excellent rep with other coaches. (so does Fulmer) Idk what’s up with the delay. But I still believe we end up with Freeze or Enos.

I don't believe that anyone else would be disappointing.

But what I expect is that this is another Schiano-esque sh*t sandwich, wherein the AD lets rumors of something great run and we end up with, say, Will Friend or Chris Weinke as OC.
Honestly. Why do you have such little faith in Weinke or Friend? I get the whole big league experience, making us comfortable so we can see what their Offense really entails. But, I believe Pruitt gets this right regardless.

If Tennessee doesn't jump on this soon, Freeze will go to Auburn or Bama. You gotta love watching this University fumble time after time.

1) Tennessee has the most inept leadership in the SEC. It's not really debateable or even close.

2) Should we really be surprised at this point if morons make moronic decisions?

Honestly?

Because I've tried the up-and-comer approach the last 9 years of Tennessee football and have been less than impressed.

The teams that are winning hire proven and experienced winners.

It's the Frasier George Costanza of college football programs.

FYP.

It was said by Dooley, Butch, and numerous other coaches during the searches that UT admin was a huge part of the issues at UT. It is amazing to me that you see other programs find who they want and make the hire within hours. Not UT though. Its a freaking embarrassment. At no point should UT have ever fell as low as we are currently. Not with the fanbase we have. Willing to bet that Pruitt doesn't get a big name and you see him leave as soon as he can. He is not the type to put up with being told "no you cannot do that or have that".

It's possible Freeze has just been slowplaying this the entire time, suspecting or know that the Auburn and/or Alabama jobs will be open.

There are millions of reasons Pruitt will stay just like Dooley and Butch.....

I want Freeze. I want to win also. Just saying I have much more confidence in Pruitt then any of the last bs coaches of recent.

I don't see any value in having an OC learning on the job, especially when we've got a manageable schedule and could harness some momentum next year with the right hire making a strong impact.

Like it or not, with the rise of Clemson, Georgia, etc., Florida looking relatively decent, and Bama's continued dominance, we don't have the time to screw around with long term rebuilding. If we do, we're the next Colorado.
