CMO was legit. Dude was a straight up dog. Every team needs a dude you can put the game on their back, he was that. Looks like he is continuing that in the MLB.
Looks like they averaged around 28K per game in 24. I just don't see them ever getting 60K+ at a game. I get it though. It is his job to try to talk his school up. Although unfortunately bad things generally happen when you piss daddy off.
Obviously I knew this was about to blow up. Although its literally on every main market UT sports page. I guess there is a 50/50 shot on how this turns out for him. I know teams shouldn't need locker room motivation. Although can you imagine how the first 2-3 series are going to go in Knoxville...
Outside of a very limited group Shedur was always viewed as a backup. Add that into the "daddy" issue and his draft stock plummeted. No one was willing to chance a high draft pick on a possible locker room/PR nightmare.
OSU showed to be a terrible matchup for pretty much anyone with the exception of their egg laid with MI. The UGA argument has some legs. Honestly UGA didn't have a real standout at WR on offense. They used our aggressive nature and exploited it. UGA made adjustments and locked our offense down...
Those guys run track for a reason most of the time. Most track guys that I have ever met shy away from contact. Not to mention a lot of these track guys have olympic dreams. The days of a dual sport athlete are almost all but gone.
I don't think anything is easier with the portal or the NIL. It does seem like it has opened up the ability for some non blue blood teams to have a decent run. I don't know how sustainable it is for a non blue blood to play with the big boys yearly though. I just don't think the donors are ready...
People forget that that we have reduced scholarships through 2028 because of that idiot bammer that was hired. While yes it is only 2-3 yearly that plays a huge part in recruiting when it comes to trench players. The early success was a double edged sword. It 100% helped overall in being able to...
Can we just take this L with some class and quit complaining? We flirted with this type of game all season with our terrible first half starts. OSU came out on fire and whipped us up front all night. Our defense was out of position on almost every play all game.
How physical are they going to let DB's play is the? I have a feeling this defense comes out trying to bully OSU early. Worked well for them in most games this season. I expect to see a lot of man press early.
The wild thing in all of this to me is normally things like this are just fan fodder or a pipe dream. This feels a little different though. You have the Uni Pres coming out basically begging his fans to come out. Then you have a lot of non UT media talking about it on top of things.
If UT...
