We have done an awesome job at destroying our player's confidence this season. From Harris, to Fuentes, to Kelenic.
Just a PHENOMENAL job by our coaching staff and FO.
Yup. The 2027 draft already has huge names from last years true freshman class that you can more or less book will be Top 5-10 picks. Jeremiah Smith, Ryan William, DJ Lagway, and Colin Simmons. May be a bit early to say that about Lagway, but the other 3 guys are certifiable studs. Not to...
He's getting closer. And the results are still there over the last 7 starts. He's given up 3 runs or less in every start since June 8. 11.6 K/9, 3.38 bb/9, .63 hr rate, 3.16 ERA, 2.55 FIP, and 2.92 xFIP.
Sale and Schwelly getting hurt is probably a blessing in disguise. We weren't going anywhere anyways, so at least this saves mileage on their arms in a lost season. I wouldn't hate Strider being shelved at some point too (but for now he needs work).
I'll give you Sellers and Downs, though Sellers needs to build on last year in order to cement himself as a top 5 pick. Downs a legitimate star and I have acknowledged that. But no one else has been super impressive.
Someone mentioned that major moves regarding staff changes or major trades won't come until after the ASG. Snit is an honorary coach and the ASG game is in ATL.
I find it unlikely they fire Snit before the end of the season anyways. If it was gonna be done, it should have been after our 2nd 7...
Ozzie's statcast data has actually improved from what is was a month ago, believe it or not. EV is improving. Bat speed is improving. I'm still inclined to believe the struggles are wrist related and he's still regaining strength.
I am talking about the overall talent of next year's draft in general.
And McCoy will only go that high if returns early in the season and plays well. If he returns late and/or is a little rusty when he does return, he'll probably still be a 1st rounder, he just won't be top 10.
