Ronnie is not a good fielder for sure, but might as well be prime Andruw compared to Schwarber. Also, barely a year removed from surgery, so I'm gonna cut him some slack. Though I don't expect he'll ever be a positive defender again, he may yet improve from last year.

I'm sorry, do you want to check his OPS in 22 and 23? How about his wRC+ or wOBA? 22 and 23 were absolutely not "career" years. You're sitting here listing homers and RBIs and you have the audacity to act like I'm the dinosaur?

You asked why I am discounting the DH. Finding a DH than can hit well is extremely easy, because literally ANYONE can DH. The defining nature of the DH is that it requires no defensive ability whatsoever. We can move Ronnie to DH if we want to and he'd instantly be a better DH than Schwarber...

Who? Schwarber? Try again my guy.

Because literally anyone who is remotely good at hitting can do it. A DH only hitter clogs up the roster because they cannot play any position on defense. That means if Harper gets an injury where he can't field a position but he is still healthy enough to bat, then the Phillies must make a...

It's literally his career numbers. How exactly did "pre-covid" change anything? Even if we go by your cherry picking, these are their numbers since 2021: Schwarber: .232/.353/.514 .867 OPS, 136 OPS+, .369 wOBA, 135 wRC+ Alonso: .253/.338/.504 .842 OPS, 134 OPS+, .356 wOBA, 131 wRC+ So...

30 million for a soon to be 33 year old DH only, who 2 short years ago posted a .817 OPS and hit .197..... And oh yeah, they still have yet to resign Suarez and Wheeler may never be the same again. Their core is old as **** and they just handed out 30 million per year to a DH only player. They...

He's gonna make BANK. We don't need a WR, but it would be fun to watch him. Already projected as a Day 1 pick in 2027.

Inlet Harbor is now Off the Hook. There is one in NSB now as well. It's ok. A little pricey for what they are, but at least the food is pretty good. Down the Hatch used to be one of my favorites, but they got bought out last year. It's just not quite the same anymore.

Also Millie's in Daytona is great. A little pricey, but the food is great and fresh and they have a rotating menu.

I gotta agree the rock shrimp are phenomenal. My favorite is Boondocks in Ponce Inlet. Best Spicy Steamed Shrimp around.

Not a fan of Chase's, but yes to the rest. Just about the best prime rib I've ever had at Blackbeard's.

LMAO!!! Pete Alonso has a significantly better track record as a hitter, and he's younger, and he can actually field a position defensively (which would have allowed them to DH Harper primarily). Now they are stuck paying an aging pure DH 30 million per year while their franchise icon who...
