3-4 other teams? Sorry but no. LSU did for 1 year. Clemson was absolutely on par with Bama and UGA and beat Bama at least twice.

Tennessee isn't doing that. It would look super petty on our part. The easy way around these situations is simply don't pay the NIL payments until after the window closes

SEC speed for a RB, imo, is not being able to get caught from behind by half the LBs in the conference.

Losing arguably the best DC in the nation certainly has hurt him. As was losing Tony Elliot the same off-season. They've still performed well up until this year, even if they haven't quite been the elite squad they were 4-5 years ago.

He continually has put guys into the NFL at a rate similar to the Bamas, UGAs, and OSU. So lets stop this narrative that Clemson was overrated in his run. He had elite teams with elite players. Only recently with his aversion to the portal and NIL has he started to slip.

Exception, not the rule. There's only been maybe 4 or so QBs over the last 30-40 years that have been successful as a short qb. And the term "successful" is a broad term. Brees and Wilson have had the most success. Kyler Murray has been ok. Baker Mayfield is on the shorter side as well. I can't...

Sampson was the only reason our offense was effective all year in 2024. If he got hurt, we were toast. And as much as I like Bishop, he is no Dylan Sampson. He's closer to Jabari Small, who was very solid, but not really a lead back. We need a stable of quality RBs. Right now, we have 1 and...

There is nothing wrong with the kid in general. It doesn't seem to be a character issue like Boo. By all accounts he has a great relationship with Pope and Heup. And he and Keys are pretty close. He just wants to go to OSU. The most likely outcome is that we simply release him from his LOI.

I said I like Bishop and mentioned he was solid. It's a fact that the RB room outside of Bishop was not good. Even when Lewis was healthy, he didn't perform very well. Morris and Baker didn't get much work but they didn't exactly tear it up when given the opportunity and they weren't super...

Not according to this article: http://knoxnews.com/story/sports/college/university-of-tennessee/football/2025/04/10/desean-tennessee-football-scholarship-walk-on/82795823007/ Bishop was committed to Coastal Carolina for his entire 2022 senior season. He hoped for a scholarship offer from a...

There was reportedly screenshot where he said he wasn't gonna sign with Tennessee. And 247 is reporting some "sources" are saying he is unhappy with his decision. It doesn't really jive with other reports though.

I didn't say Bishop was bad or mediocre. I said he was solid but he lacked SEC speed, which is true and it's part of the reason he didn't have any P4 offers. I certainly want to keep Bishop but we also need to go back to the 3 headed monster at RB like we had with Wright, Sampson, and Small...

Lewis was mediocre. Morris and Baker are unproven and were not exactly highly rated recruits. 3 Bishop was solid, but he lacks SEC speed. There is zero chance anyone watched this group of RBs play this year and thought it was a major strength for us.

I would be astounded if we don't add a RB in the portal. The RB group was super mediocre this year and banking on Morris or Baker to be SEC caliber backs is foolish. Bishop was solid. Not great, but very solid. No one else is returning that seems like a starting caliber RB.
