And you would be foolish to do so.
6th best offense in college football while only having 2 months to learn the play book and 1 month of practice. And the rushing attack was super mediocre. Joey is the primary reason the offense was elite this year.
Is there a reason why we can't get a starting caliber safety and keep JA?
I'd much rather find another Jakobe Thomas type of safety from a smaller school and keep JA rather than spend a million for whatever P4 safety you think is the top guy and roll with unproven guys at QB.
Vandy had 1 successful season as the oldest team in the league with the best QB their program has ever seen in their existence. About 1/3 of their roster is graduating or heading to the draft, and that's before anyone exits for the portal. They won't win 5 games next year.
The best teams still...
We were 8-4 with the youngest roster in the SEC. Sure, we need portal additions at key places, but this is very talented team. The best teams recruit great HS classes and supplement the team through the portal.
Some Braves nuggets:

The first has already been well-documented. Even after acquiring Mauricio Dubon, the Braves are still keeping close tabs on shortstop Ha-Seong...
TT is in the Big 12 and has had a lot more financial backing over the years than USF has, along with getting Big 12 money. USF plays in the AAC.
I'll believe it when I see it.
