Heup to LSU noise and where does TN job rank?

No chance. He's not leaving a stable situation with Danny White as AD for the s@#$show in Baton Rouge. But in the extremely unlikely chance he did, we should have Golesh as #1 on our list.

    Max Gilbert has issues

Someone needs to get Gilbert a pair of hot pants! What I learned last night is that's apparently the key to the kicking game. Who knew? Let's bring this guy in as an Analyst for Special Teams next year!

    Urban Meyer called it.

Joey is still better than Nico. This is the first game we were reminded of what Joey was when he was recruited - a gunslinger who could both win and lose you games. He had the most INTs in all of CFB last year. And you saw why in this game. People are going to blame Heupel, but his coaching...

What other message boards are saying ( Kentucky post game edition)

The "Super Bowl" and "running up the score" comments ooze of butt-hurt. We literally just ran the clock out at the end of the game in spite of having a 1st and Goal. We could've pretty easily put up more TDs if we wanted to. And I'm not sure where they're getting the "Super Bowl" stuff. If...

    Napier has been fired

Weird to fire him after a win. You'd think they'd at least wait till next week when he loses to Georgia. My big fear is that they'll hire Golesh. Don't think Kiffin will go there - Ole Miss will pay thru the roof to keep him.

UCLA (1-4) vs Michigan State (3-2) (12PM ET, BigTen Network)

It's going to be a tricky situation for them. Neuheisel has been great as OC, but he's probably not ready to be an HC. And any HC they hire is going to want to bring his own OC in all likelihood.

UCLA (1-4) vs Michigan State (3-2) (12PM ET, BigTen Network)

So apparently UCLA is good now. All it took was firing DeShaun Foster and they suddenly went from one of the worst P4/P5 teams in the past decade, to a mid-tier Big 10 team. Crazy! Can't think of any team that turned around this fast just from firing the HC.

Cheap Alabama TD with 17 seconds to go

I know I'm supposed to root against Bama, but Pavia really makes it difficult. I just found myself indifferent the whole game.

    UCLA "BLUE OUT" BIG SUCCESS

Can't believe UCLA got blown out by New Mexico, but they somehow might beat Penn State. It's almost like that team improved the minute DeShaun Foster was fired; they played much better last week too.

The Film Guy on JA and Brazzell

It's crazy how quickly Brazzell went from "moderately disappointing" to "best WR in college football". Reminds me of Hyatt in that regard - very different WRs obviously, but similar thing where people were kinda down on Hyatt the season before he broke out. It's a reminder of how well this...

Polls keeping us out of the playoffs

I'm fine with us not moving up in the polls. Miss State, on paper, is one of the weaker SEC teams, and we narrowly beat them. It's a good road win and I think Miss State may be underestimated a bit, but it's not the same as beating Bama, Oklahoma, or even ... gasp ... Vanderbilt ... right now...

    That "awful" defense of ours...

Heupel is pretty good about understanding when to use hurry-up based on several factors (how tired our D is, how tired opposing D is, timing, etc). I'd contrast with Butch Jones who would mindlessly run the hurry-up even when our D was exhausted and the opposing D was well rested, and we just...

    Tim Banks

The only reason the defense hasn't "improved" is because we had one of the best defenses in the nation last year (FPI had us ranked #4 on D for 2024) and we've had a lot of injuries this season. Banks has been great. Any criticisms of him this year have been silly. The D won this game for us...

    CATCH THE FREAKING BALL!

Agree with this. Aguilar has been far better than Nico. We lose this game with Nico and we get blown out by Georgia with him. That said, Aguilar does have a tendency to overthrow at times and he also threw into heavy traffic way too often this game. IMO this was his worst game by far - but we...

    Are we perfect? No...

Exactly. Game should not have been as close as it was. The refs were the only reason it was. Awful, awful officiating. The OPI was one of the worst calls I've seen, but they also missed some a blatant DPI by MSU. If Heupel lost this one, I wouldn't have blamed him. The fact that we pulled it...
