I hear you...but...given what he had start with, and the changes across college football, with NIL, I think it's OK to expect to have a down year in there somewhere. We knew we were young. We knew we needed a miracle at QB (which we got). The only thing that was unexpected was the major letdown...
The defense not being capable of getting off the field on 3rd down. This has been an ongoing problem that needs to be fixed, or Heupel will likely never win championships.
I saw on the Internet, so it has to be true: Vandy has one of the oldest teams in the SEC and we have the youngest. This was always likely to be a down year. There is no reason to believe that we will be much better for at least the next two years.
Now, will we win at the very highest level...

This is much of what I'm thinking. Did Barnes want to win this game? Well of course, but I think he had some sub-goals too.
This game reminds me of the NCAA game against Houston last year. We were coming off an emotional win against Kentucky, and we just didn't have the ability to rise to the...

I have listened to Mike Keith for one basketball game, and I thought he was fine. Chris Lofton was the problem. I am sure he is the best guy ever, it's just not his thing.
I dunno. I think having a lot of different pieces that we didn't have before might keep us from having the huge scoring droughts. We might play a lot of people, and perhaps play Ament more strategically than usual.
I could be wrong, but I think we are now positioned better to play toe-to-toe...
