Yesterday, what I saw said: Aguilara #1, GMac #2, Phillips #3, Merk #4. Having said that, I think it may be a little early to write off Merk. Back to GMac, he reminded me so much of Manning. Seemed to have good wheels though. Really nice touch on passes, except for that one down the sideline...

Normally, I would agree, but with what we have coming in and coming back, I'm not sure there's a need. Now, if one transfers, then I agree completely.

I am very optimistic about the possibilities, but I had to assume it will take some time to find our personality, and leadership (or lack thereof) could be an issue. Too many unknowns to predict a terrific record. (Edit: Still, I go with 24-7)

These last few comments really sum up my feelings about this team. I think the potential is really sky high. This may be the most well-rounded team Tennessee has ever had, if most of these guys can play to their potential.

NC being in the SEC might hurt UT recruiting in North Carolina. I'll pass.

Yeah, with all the unknowns, I consider that (top 15) the realistic floor for this team. Of course, that is on paper and we won't know for sure until they actually play someone.

One of the shortcomings of Tennessee teams over the years (IMO) is the lack of depth, even when we had a great top 5 or 6. If everyone steps up and plays to their potential, we should have very few if any weeknesses. As you said, at least on paper. It will be fun to watch it all unfold.

Yes, I think the great thing is that it creates a lot of options and opportunities to use different combinations.
