Not in favor of the fines--too objective. If a player goes down causing a game delay, he should be ineligible until there is a change of possession. That would be far more effective in policing the issue. Don't understand any objection to this remedy.
It's not cheating. It's taking advantage of bad officiating. It's kind of like an umpire giving Greg Maddux 6" off the plate and him continuing to throw the ball there.
There was one pick play that was the most blatant I think I've ever seen and it wasn't flagged because the "picker" held...
What's the opposite of "running the table"? Flopping on the table? When I did an AI search today on how many games UCLA would win this season, it said their best chance was beating New Mexico at home. They lost that one by 25. What a miserable year for a once promising and once adored QB who...
Like beating Bama 2 of last 3? or scoring 41 against a great UGA defense? Did he play it safe in those games? Don't be one of those people who ignore the facts to support their pre-conceived opinions.
Re: Banks, this: "Banks is missing two starting DL and his starting corners. I mean you have key players out at worst two areas possible going in to playing a GA?" Add McCoy. If one of those linemen and one of the corners play uninjured, we probably win by 10 or more.
I'm still a Banks fan. How many teams would have fared as well against UGA with 3 DL and 2 starting corners out of the rotation? This team is better than the '24 team and, when healthy, maybe as good or better than the '22 team--maybe the best team in almost 25 years. Time and injuries will tell.
4 Defensive starters out for the game--2 DL and both corners and a backup Edge. If those guys are healthy, it's probably not a close game. I have been and remain a Banks fan.
