Chandler was released because the Grizzlies needed a big body since both Adams and Clarke are out. Kenny Lofton was on a two-way and ineligible for the playoffs so the Grizzlies signed him, which meant they needed to create a roster spot. Chandler was let go for that reason. It doesn’t matter...
