I know I’m in the minority, but if Dools had hired a DC that was worth a damn (and he could galvanize a locker room) I think his story ends a little differently. I could be wrong. Of our coaches the last 20 years I dislike him the least.
The key mindset to winning the tournament is probably treating each game like life or death, ride or die, all out war. Not looking ahead. Not watching the news. Just cold blooded execution and passion. Also- if you are having fun +10!
I’m struggling to think of an NFL executive that was always right. All I can think of are superstars executives doubted until they blew the doors off the league.

You need to pair it with a gesture that makes a difference. Maybe donate to the student’s families or an organization that is trying to help the root cause.
Otherwise it’s just a self-serving PR move.
Honestly, I know it looks bad, but it isn’t anything strong solid leadership wouldn’t make right. They need to figure out how to lead Jimbo and in doing so finding what’s misfiring and help fix it. Part of me hopes they don’t because they could be so good, but part of me (for the kids) hopes...
If you bought in before the hype and committed your future to the cause- you’re in. I don’t care who else wants to commit on top of you. You get a chance to earn the starting spot.
Commitment. Integrity. Honor. Without it…what’s the point?
