Sorry Thunder. I see the earlier post I was replying to was talking about point guards so I apologize for the confusion. I always liked Widby and Robbins though, as well as Howard “the enforcer” Bain!

I knew they weren’t point guards. I was just mentioning them to remind younger fans that the Vols had some great players even before Ernie and Bernie!

Two other really good ones: Red Robbins and Ron Widby.

I especially agree with the last sentence. Anyone remember panty raids or drinking beer at the Roman Room or ordering a Vol Burger and fries at Sam and Andy's or watching streakers on the Strip in 1974 or listening to one-man band, Bill Jenkins, in the late 80s? Where have all the good times gone?

I agree. We could be the Fenway or Wrigley of college baseball. Put up ivy or a Green Monster. Keep it intimate and intimidating.
