Following up from my last comment, I also don't think the TTU/UTK engineers are competing for the same jobs as the Vandy ones. I think the Vandy ones are more on the research side.
Of course it also breaks down by field. Nuclear at UTk is Top 10, maybe Top 5 nuclear program and thats going to...
Nailed it. The MIT types go into R&D for various industries and research in academia. Tennessee Tech has an incredible engineering school that has a 99.9% placement out of undergrad and they're great, applied jobs in industry.
My roommate at UT was civil engineering, did a 1 yr work placement...
I have friends in the medical field who I've talked to about this but I don't know exactly. There might be some but by my understanding what's more important is where you do your med school and residency and your actual competence level goes a long way. Getting into med school is the hard part...
Ultimately she should make the choice that makes her happy.
However as someone who spent 10 years in academia - and chose UT over Duke - pick the affordable option. At the end of the day the degrees all say the same thing but your bank account wont.
I'm curious how Moore's wife didnt know what everyone in Ann Arbor apparently knew??
Or did she know and was only staying because of his status and income and when he got fired she was out?? Was their relationship already toast??
Such a strange thing.
Where was said griz?
Yeah they get an ear tag when they misbehave. 2 or 3 strikes and they get the sleep shot.
Doing what this guy did is what gets bears killed.
I hope they locate that dude. That's a serious fine and charge for harassing a bear.
That bear was just trying to get out of that area and find easy food (trash)
Warde Manuel's job is toast for this. Now, if Moore hadn't lost his mind in the name he did, the AD might've been fine. But because Moore did that it makes it look soooo much worse
