Cade Mays enters the transfer portal [transferring to Tennessee per ESPN]

Yeah, that's insane. He played 25 games, with 18 starts, for Georgia in the last two seasons as Georgia went 23-5 (and 14-2 SEC) and won the SEC East twice. He was named to both Freshman All-SEC and Freshman All-American teams after the 2018 season. And he was also co-winner of the Charley...

    '17 GA ATH DeAngelo Gibbs

The stat came from CFB Film Room (Twitter @CFBFilmRoom) and was turned into an article on Saturday Down South. I was surprised about it as well - I would've thought we were mid-pack before I saw it quantified. The Auburn game - where our receivers seemed to catch everything - was clearly an...

    '17 GA ATH DeAngelo Gibbs

I found the stat, and what I said was somewhat inaccurate - Guarantano had the highest percentage of his incompletions resulting from dropped passes (over 25%). Note this was before the last two games (Missouri and Vanderbilt), so it may have ended up even worse. We definitely need some...

I saw a stat near the end of the season that showed we led the SEC in dropped passes, by a wide margin!

    Tee coming home...

The Chris Low article did say, "Martin will be paid by USC for the next two years." It didn't give any details about how much they owe him in his buyout, though.

    Tee coming home...

I agree that showing up in USC gear wasn't Tee's best move, but it certainly wasn't enough for me to no longer want him here. As for "trashed our recruits on national signing day on national TV", the only thing I'm aware of is Tee's "soft" comment about Hurd made in the USC war room and caught...

    Tee coming home...

I never thought Tee making the best decision for his career and his family equated "spurning" us. He was smart to not join Butch Jones. Chris Low reported Tee "chose to return to Tennessee after weighing several opportunities, including various roles at Alabama, Auburn, Louisville, Maryland and...

    Tee coming also?

    Welcome back, Tee! Go Vols!

    Tee coming home...

Hope the fans that were so upset with Tee leave it in the past! After all, he is a national championship winning VFL! Go Vols!

Chaney offenses, by the numbers: 2009-2018

For some perspective on these numbers, I looked back at the UT record books. In the 29 seasons between 1990 and 2018, the Vols averaged 29.55 PPG and 394 ypg, which is eerily similar to what Chaney's teams have averaged since his return from the NFL in 2009. Go Vols!

As OC, Chaney has only once averaged less than 5 yds. per play...

I agree that having a "1000 yard rusher" needs context, but college football players rarely get to 1000 yard rushing seasons without a combination of endurance (and injury avoidance), ball security, and good yards per carry. You just don't hand the ball off to "Jimmy" 30 times a game if he's...

Chaney offenses, by the numbers: 2009-2018

He may be an even better QB coach than an OC. Drew Brees Crompton (under Kiffen) Tyler Bray Brandon Allen (Arkansas - made NFL) Nathan Peterman (At Pitt - made NFL) Jake Fromm Go Vols!
