I think based on the performance we and our head coach have witnessed today, the % of the field goal outweighed the % of converting. Sucks, but it is what it is.
Do they think that because the players on last years team were the right ones to run the system, and were special in that regard? Or do they think the system caught people off guard, and having the players that could run it, made the system effective but not repeatable?

It’s crazy how this stat was once a pretty good indicator of who would win the game, but becomes almost irrelevant concerning the VOLS.
Another way to address it would be that the only substitution that can occur is for the injured player or players, one for one, unless the offense substitutes during the time out. That way concern for player safety stays and the element of supposed trickery is “addressed”.
