What's up with the waves of zombies coming at you looking like a water rushing at you?

Max Brooks has pretty much said they gave him the money for the rights and have never contacted him to consult in any way. He doesn't want his name attached to the movie and rightfully so because it looks like a humongous piece of crap. It's a shame too. If they stuck to the format of the story from the novel, they could have made an engaging documentary style movie with a unique point of view. But no, it has Brad Pitt in it so we have to have him being separated from his family and running in slow motion from what I can only assume is a tidal wave or swarm of zombies...All while doing that squinty face thing he does.

looks cool except for the CGI zombies.. they look dumb like the things in I Am Legend

It really is a shame. The book was amazing but it looks as though the only similarities between the 2 are the title.

I always thought that doing it like an HBO mini series would be sweet. Documentary style like you said. Maybe 10 one hour episodes and recap maybe 3 survivors stories per episode. Instead they turned it into this garbage.

The really sad part is that I love the genre so much that I'll still go see it.

Garbage - absolute garage. I was so excited when I first heard they were making a film based on the book. But it looks like they've failed on every level here.

All they need to do now is cast Shiah Labouf in somehow and this dumpster fire will be complete.

Just cant get over how incredibe this book was yet how incredibly bad this movie looks.

The book was very good....the CGI Zombies running in mass hordes looking like the waves of an ocean, NOT SO GOOD.



I'm displeased. I really hated the CGI weirdos in I Am Legend.

It's zombies, you should probably leave now. Though judging by their speed, and ability to climb on each other they seem more infected than zombie.

Max Brooks had nothing to do with this movie; I will also have nothing to do with it.
