wouldn't surprise me at all.. Toyota wants to land a major team and driver, and Gibbs seems less tied to Chevrolet than any of the other major Chevy teams. Adding Stewart, Hamlin and a third driver (won't be Yeley) would be huge for them.

I couldn't see Stewart in a Toyota. I would picture Ganassi or Evernham to switch before Gibbs.

It is a gamble to me. Chevy rules the sport.

At least the last few years Chevy has ruled. Maybe it's because they have the better drivers.
Ford ruled for awhile and when Richard Petty was driving it was Dodge. Of course Richard also drove a Pontiac for awhile too (I think). Can Toyota get the engines to get them more competitive?

listing to the director of Toyota right now on Sirius Speedway, the afternoon show with Dave Moody.

he just said he expected this year to be a rough year for Toyota. they will get better. i don't know if we'll see a Yota in victory lane this year, but i'd expect to see one in there next year on many occasions.

I think personally NASCAR caters to Chevy more than any other car make. A few years back when the new Ford body style came out, both the Fords and the Dodge's were dominating and NASCAR mid season gave Chevy a few advantages to make them more competive. Why have they not done this for Ford, Toyota, or Dodge. Toyotas have just sucked for the most part..powertrain, handling, everything. Fords have only one like 2 races and just dont seem to have the same stuff they used to. Maybe Im wrong. Dodge's still continue with the nose problems, but seem to have a strong nice engine just need to learn how to work with the nose. I just dont understand why NASCAR dont help them a bit.
