I noticed there are no NHRA threads. Why is that? I know drag racing hasn't come close to the widespread fan base of NASCAR, but give it SOME love. It's a great sport.

did they get it in today?

i'm not much of an NHRA fan on TV, but i love to be there in person. nothing like the smell and the burn of nitrous frying your nose hairs.

I just found this thread. I really thought there would be more drag racing fans.

I follow these drivers on the NHRA circuit.

1. Spencer Massey - Top Fuel (rookie)

2. Allen Johnson - Pro Stock (Mopar)

3. Ron Capps - Funny Car (Mopar)

4. Matt Hagan - Funny Car (Mopar)

5. Tony Schumacher - Top Fuel

I watch Nascar as well. If I had to choose........ NHRA all day.

I think, like all motorsports, it's something that needs to be seen in person, but moreso because it's more about senses than it is racecraft and efficiency.

To me Drag Racing is more of a participation sport to enjoy it. I ran motorcycles and a J Stock '57 Chevy starting in high school, and had a ball, but other than the Pro classes, I find watching the drags, well, uh, "the drags".

Besides Vol football there's nothing I like more than Drag Racing I've been a fan since the 60's I would hope that Speed and Espn would pick up more Pro Mod events and televise them there awesome to see in person
