Agreed. Even though it sucks Johnson is gone, I never really understood his recruitment. Although I am by far not an expert but it seems to thrive in the offense Butch runs, a QB needs to be a DT. Not saying Hunter isnt, but he isnt Dobbs.

I actually thought Hunter looked a lot like Dobbs in his tape. He's got the long-stride type speed. Not crazy fast, but neither is Dobbs really. Could be a guy to watch.

IMO Hooker looks like the type of guy that fits us best in the 2017 class. A fairly high ranked kid who needs some development.

aTm is showing how stacking top QBs year after year after year can work out if your coach can't handle the situation perfectly.

just read where this kid was the top quarterback at the army all American underclassman combine and made 1st team all combine. That combine is loaded with talent. I strongly believe that 24/7 and rivals will bump him up to 4 stars when they redo their rankings. Scout already had him at 4 stars. This kid is a stud and seems to fit in our offense well. Are we looking at him at all? Rivals list him 6'5 200 every where else list him at 6'4: either way he has the size and talent and is a great athlete for his size. Runs like a gazelle and has an arm to match.

Well Mr. Hooker, the kid looks like a great QB. With us losing Johnson from the class the coaches will probably be looking to take another. I think they will be very careful though. I think they are all in for Lawrence in 2018. They will be cautious in 2017 imo going forward with QB recruiting with Lawrence on the horizon. With Jones transferring, they may take one. Hooker looks like a great option.

Sign Mecole this year, this kid next year...and in a couple years the headlines would be:
