Worse organizations to brainstorm and compare notes. Not a Steelers fan but I am a fan of their process

People always giving shout-outs with the area code... it's cool that when you call out 865 you're spelling VOL. Just sayin'.

Same here. It's amazing they've only had 3 head coaches since 1969. 47 years - 3 coaches is hard to fathom.

Great point. The patience and levelheadedness to weather down years doesn't happen. Most any other organization would have sent Noll,Cowher and Tomlin packing..."just to get a new voice".

That is the Rooney family. Like or hate the Steelers, they are the best owners in the league. When they make a hire, they make it carefully, and stick by him. They don't let sportswriters tell them how to run things. And when guys who played there talk about them, you just don't hear the same level of admiration from guys who played elsewhere.

The fact they have so many titles is no accident.

It's hard to impart that down a family line...they've been the best. The Mara's in New York would be second, of course. Jerry Jones son Stephen seems like he'll be an improvement.

Double post.
