I love golf and I've been playing the hell out of it trying to speed this summer up. So glad to see this and it's right around the corner. This will be a fun year.

Yeah, I believe they take the last two weeks before the season starts for regular game week practices. I don't remember all the rules, but it was discussed last year.

Not sure I understand the schedule/ terminology. This practice schedule ends on 8/19, but the first game isn't until 9/1. What do we call practices leading up to the game? Are these considered "camp" practices, and the other "season" practices? I expected the schedule to list everything up until the first game. Maybe it is because of how the NCAA counts allowable practice.

You can have spring, pre-season, in-season, post-season & bowl practice.

In-season preseason practice begins 6 days before a
game.

Football practice guidelines | NCAA.org - The Official Site of the NCAA


Preseason practice guidelines:

For days in which institutions schedule a two-a-day practice, live contact practices are only allowed in one practice. A maximum four (4) live contact practices may occur in a given week, and a maximum of 12 total may occur in preseason. Only three practices (scrimmages) would allow for live contact in greater than 50 percent of the practice schedule.

Inseason practice guidelines:

Inseason is defined as the period between six (6) days prior to the first regular-season game and the final regular-season game or conference championship game (for participating institutions). There may be no more than two (2) live contact practices per week.

Postseason guidelines: (FCS/DII/DIII)

There may be no more than two (2) live contact practices per week.

Bowl practice guidelines: (FBS)

There may be no more than two (2) live contact practices per week.

Spring practice guidelines:

Of the 15 allowable sessions that may occur during the spring practice season, eight (8) practices may involve live contact; three (3) of these live contact practices may include greater than 50 percent live contact (scrimmages). Live contact practices are limited to two (2) in a given week and may not occur on consecutive days.

These are the practices prior to the start of classes, that's when the 20-hour rule begins.

There will likely be an open practice on August 20 if the work inside the stadium is complete by then.

Looking forward to hearing about the position battles especially the ones on the OL. IMO they are the ones that will determine if we will be able to be consistent in the passing game. We have to be able to give Dobbs time to make better decisions and improve his accuracy as well as allow Receivers to uncover down the field. We go as far as Dobbs will take us so lets keep him upright in the pocket.

Are coaches allowed to work out the players the snapchat videos from Yesterday showed some work with CBj, CRG And Strip

Yes, they can do a certain amount of "skills development" each week. I don't believe they can use a football in the skill sessions.
