"For only the second time since the women’s basketball NCAA Tournament began, the Tennessee Lady Vols will not be playing in the Sweet Sixteen.

For the first time in school history, they lost a second round game.

1. The inconsistency was consistent until the end.

Yep. Once again, the Tennessee Lady Vols were guilty of major droughts that cost them this game. It has been the story in every loss they suffered this season, and this game was no different. For three and a half quarters, Tennessee and Louisville went back and forth. The Lady Vols even took the lead at the end of the third.

But for the first half of the fourth quarter, Louisville dominated. They ended up building an 11-point lead. The Lady Vols fought back and cut it to within 5, but that was all they could get it too. In the end, after the game was in hand, free throws put the Cardinals back up by 11 when the final buzzer sounded. Still, this game came down to one terrible drought in half a quarter…the fourth quarter."

"DeShields acknowledged the help that will come from next season’s celebrated freshmen: Evina Westbrook, Anastasia Hayes, Rennia Davis and Kasi Kushkituah. So did UT coach Holly Warlick, who said: “They’re going to play and they’re going to play a lot.”

So sad and to bad for you Kamera Harris and Kortney Dunbar. That statement from Holly is a shot in the face to the LVs that are on the team now. Holly's inability to develop her players are the sole reason why they were of no help this season.

I'm begging the A.D. to bring in a new coach. Do not let Holly ruin what is left of my beloved Lady Vols.

Nared was the only player with guts enough to take it to the basket if she found a opening. I watched Washington play and that Kelsey Plum is fearless going to the rim.

She is definitely going to be on the hot seat. Kara Lawson was confused on why we didn't foul at the end of the game. We basically gave up. I'm not sure why we cant play with a sense of urgency like we do at the end of games when we are losing.

We have very little toughness under Warlick. She's been out of her depth since she took over, so for pundits to say she will be "on the hot seat" next year makes me laugh. She's never been a credible coach, in my opinion.

Neither of those two players had the skill sets to be at the Lady Vols level. I don't think highly of Holly's ability to develop but those two aren't the test

They are better than almost all the players on teams that they have lost to.

It's not that they aren't good enough; it's that Holly cannot coach and is not developing them.

Exactly! A 3pt threat in Dunbar Geno would've found ways to get her open and hit the 3 (KML didn't play defense or rebound either) and Harris he would've used like he did Kiah Stokes put her out there to rebound and block everything, players who have "specialist" skill sets need to be developed more as all around players but what their specialty is, you have to coach them to that, against weak teams (who we seemed to lose to) Harris, Dunbar & (Nunn to a certain extent) should've played just to rest Russell and Nared occasionally and we wouldn't have to depend on them so much, she used only having 6 to 7 as an excuse from day one and it shouldn't have been, Other coaches are only playing 6 to 7 players and still are in the tournament

All key points on why Holly can't coach. Not fair to the players. It is a travesty that Kortney will be a senior next season. A prime opportunity wasted this season with only 9 players and K.D. was seldom utilized because Holly has no clue on putting Kortney in position of success. And I wouldn't be surprised if Kamera transferred.

Holly seldom and rarely took timeouts because of her lack of bball i.q. She doesn't know what to do besides tell the team to play hard.

Even LV4L Kara Lawson was questioning her coaching last night. I really don't know how any rational person can continue to defend her, unless they just want Tennessee to fail....

Can a senior to be -Dunbar transfer and not have to sit out a year?

Yes if she transfers down like to Division II or places like Carson Newman. That just might be the only way she will play any significant amount of time.

You can not expect Kortney to come in the game play 1 or 2 minutes and make shots. She has to get in the flow of the game. Holly will not give her time.

Former Lady Vols need to speak out ....just like Magic did with the Lakers....So someone needs to just stand up and make themselves a candidate

I can understand you crying like babies, but I never thought I would see the day Lady Vols fans would practically be kissing Geno where the sun don't shine.
Get out of your 'Red Queen' mode..
Boo hoo...'off with her head'.off with her head...Off with her head. Sad.

I agree with you. Kara was spot on with her observation. Her and Doris were stating the obvious. Doris let up with her disdain for the LVs this season because we're no longer a threat. I have to say I didn't mine her calling the games because she was calling Holly out for her failures. Letting the viewers know that CHW is in over head.

I felt bad for Kara Lawson, though. A former LV witnessing the demise of her proud alma mater being run into the ground by her former assistant coach. Kara knows. She's on the inside but she's too professional to say anything negative about Holly.

I guess most of just miss the old days of 15-20 years ago which you knew where this team was going to be at the end of the tournament. CPHS on the sidelines getting the most out of the team and players. CHW is lethargic and this shows also on the court.

CHW is reactive versus CPHS who was very much proactive and had the ability to visualize what to anticipate before it happen.

EX CTS could have done the job and this would have probably made his mother proud had he not been thinking with the wrong brain.

Have to feel sorry for the players they were never broken and rebuilt nor were they pushed beyond their potential.

We are stuck with this mess for another year maybe 2.
