Phil is 100% accurate with his assessment of what Pat would want - and that is to beat ALS. Not an easy task, but winning 1,098 games & 8 NCAA Championships, producing 21 All Americans, leading your country to a Gold Medal in the Olympics and having ever player on your squad graduate wasn't either.

ALS is not Alzheimer's.... But, since you said it, yes, Pat would wanna beat that too because like Alzheimer's, ALS has no cure either and is physically a devastating disease.

He's right. Pat would definitely say, "Enough of the pity party-- get off your butt and let's beat this thing." She's still fighting through her foundation.

Guess I need one of those stares, though-- my pity party is still going on.
