And Georgia is struggling on kick return coverage.

The Bulldogs have kicked the ball off 20 times this season so far. Only six of those kickoffs have gone for touchbacks, however, giving Georgia a 30 percent touchback rate on kickoffs. That’s the third-worst percentage in the SEC. For comparison, the Vols have the fifth-highest percentage with 58.3 percent of their kickoffs going for touchbacks this season.

Not only is Georgia failing to kick the ball deep enough to prevent returns, but they aren’t stopping returners from ripping off big gains either.

Georgia ranks 11th in the SEC in opponent kick return average with opposing kick returners gaining an average of 22.6 yards a return. In fact, the Bulldogs are the only SEC team to give up a kick return touchdown so far this season. The Bulldogs are also giving up the third-most kick return yards per game, allowing teams to gain 79.3 yards a game on kick returns.

If that holds true it will be worth several yards Saturday. Berry will get his when he gets a chance.

Hopefully they don't get to kickoff too much, but when they do that doesn't bode well for them.

Those statistics are pretty misleading, as a kicker might go for high and returnable, so we can get a deep stop. But you do make a pretty good case that Georgia's kicker may not be doing that.

Even though Evan Berry is great and he hasn't had a chance to do much so far, I only want to see UGA kick off one time...either at the start of the game or right after halftime.

and there are people that say Georgia will give us a game.
It shouldn't be close.
They have way to many issues to fix in a week.

The one time in the FL game when EB got to come out of the endZone he took it 40+.

Here's to hoping he takes one to the house early and silences the crowd on the other side of the hedges.

We need to add this play to the playbook for UGA...

I will say, one of the saddest things this season is not being able to see EB return kickoffs because he has filled other teams with fear (warranted). I just wish they'd still be able to get the ball in his hands a few times a game with some space. Kid is dynamite incarnate.

The definition of a good problem to have: When other teams (incapable of consistent touchbacks) are more than willing to let us start at the 35 every drive.

Well all know how much Evan can affect a game with his returns. If Kirby is smart, they will kick it out of bounds and start at the 35 yard line.
