At us getting Gruden?

Is this us just being delusional? Or is this an actual possiblity?

If we do get him, I'm afraid the fanbase is going to expect overnight success. Afraid that's not going to happen. Whether or not we have a chance to get him, I don't know; just want to win Saturday and go from there.

You really do need to listen to TSR...they make a believer out of you. Every single show today validated the rumors and conceded that this is FO REAL!!!

For the record: not that he will decide to coach here, but it has been "confirmed" that the offer has been discussed and Gruden has the next move.

I'd be willing to bet that we would see immediate success in terms of having a totally refreshed, rejuvenated and more competitive team on the field, every Saturday!

This thread is like an infomercial for TSR, but I have to agree. I live in Ohio and the app is my new best friend.

I have a fraternity brother from ETSU, who is the brother in law of Jon Gruden. I was a Lambda Chi at ETSU back in the mid to late 80's, anyway I asked my frat brother if his brother in law, Jon Gruden, would actually take the UT position, and he said to me tonight that it is "looking good" and "close to a 75% chance he would take it". That doesn't mean he will take it but it is more of a reality than a hoax, like some may think. He also told me that Coach Gruden would want "complete control" of the program, just like Saban at Bama. It will be interesting to see how how it all turns out.

I agree but I have known my source for 25 years now, so as the old saying goes, "where there is smoke there is fire".. No matter what, I just want the Tennessee football program back to where it is supposed to be at the top and battling it out for the SEC Title, and the National Title on a periodic basis.

like watching and deciding when the previous coach exits?

Haha, yea, it is crazy what all has happened to the program but I have seen UT go through plenty of ups and downs through the years, I will be 46 soon, so I remember some of the Battle years, all of Coach Majors & Fulmer, etc.. The one thing I remind myself of is that Tennessee always finds the way back to competing and winning. UT will do it again, I believe that.

what's the best show to listen to?

I like Ainge's the best, with Rucker and Swain a close second.

It's nice to hear what Ainge and Swain have to say from a players perspective. It's usually spot on!

Chris Treece's show is pretty good too. He's a former player but he's old school...so he has a different take on things. But he's good at it!
