Mods can we get a new sticky cliff notes for news and info on the hiring of assistants by Jones. It would be great to have a single place to come look to find info on who we're getting and who we're looking at/attempting to get.

It would help those of us that don't have the time to go through all the various for/against Jones threads and the Gruden apology/up-yours threads.

And like the other threads can we ban comments, discussions, and opinions. We just want the facts.

Pittman isn't being retained.

He's a neighbor to some of my wife's family.

This is one of my requests too. I always like following the hiring process for all the assistants.

Pittman was already told this? See,s crazy to me to come into this job and mess with one of the few things already working well, especially when it will keep your Oline intact and help the transition. I understand he probably wants his guy, but I'd at least give him a year. This line could be the bright spot next year. Am I wrong?

The OL was good at pass protection, but not the run game. Granted, we didn't have any solid running backs. But with a new offensive system, I don't think change is really a bad thing here.

The running game was actually working. There weren't many negative plays toward the second half of the season. We ran well, just not enough. We didn't get huge runs but nonetheless, we did well when we ran it.

His choice or CBJ's? I hate to hear that. The o-line looked much better.

Don't know for certain, but I would assume it was CBJ's decision. He likes the Knoxville area and as far back as the Florida game, he was hopeful of getting to stay for a while but also knew that if the season went south, it might not be a possibility.

I'll give you that. There was improvement. IMO, it just wasn't SEC level run game line play.

I would assume Butch's system is a zone blocking scheme, not gap . Which would warrant a coaching change on the oline. It is a hard transition for pro style players but given our pass block scheme the last few years shouldnt be as bad as the clawfense.

It would be great to make this thread like the other cliff notes.

Mods a no discussion sticky thread would be great!

CBJ, will likely bring his S&C coach from Cincinnati with him to UT.

UT onto 6th strength coach in 5 yrs. Wow RT @sgw94: Looks like Coach Jones let go strength coach Ron McKeefery whom I know from Bucs & USF.

If Pittman and McKeefery are being cut loose my first impression is its not a very good decision.
