Lloyd Carr (#83) and Fulmer (#87)... :eek:lol:

This list has no credibility.

...or perhaps it's actually just grounded in reality. IMO, neither of these guys are in nearly as much trouble as some fans would like to think.

Especially when we go into the Swamp, and whip the Gators.

I'll be more than glad to make a wager, in any amount, that if Michigan doesn't win the Big 10 somebody else will be overseeing their opener in '08.

I think they are characterizing the AD and fan base.

The perception is another year without a SEC championship won't be a problem at UT for Fulmer. None of the preseason mags are picking UT to win the SEC.

Although I think UT will have a good team this year.

I'll take that..
Michigan plays Ohio State at home and given all the departures from the Buckeyes MI, should win.

They play Wisconsin at Wisconsin, and Wisconsin wins that one, behind PJ Hill.

Carr's fault has been beating Ohio State and they do that this year..

If Michigan wins those games, they most likely win the Big 10. Did you not read my initial post?

If Michigan went 9-3, and beat OSU, I think Carr's job would be safe, even with no Big 10 Championship. However, a co championship and a loss to OSU and he will still probably be gone..

For Carr to save his job, I think he could make it with a win over OSU, an outright conference championship, or a BCS bowl win.

I think PSU will lose to all 3 teams I mentioned, assuming they play them all. I haven't checked.

I'm supposed to take a list that says Howard Schnellenberger, Dennis Erickson, and Butch Davis are all more likely to be fired than Lloyd Carr seriously?

Since Tressel has gotten to tOSU, he's pretty much had their number. The days of dominating John Cooper are a distant memory (Michigan has lost 5 out of the last 6 against tOSU). Add that to the fact that they have lost 5 out of the last 6 bowl games.

A rival that dominates you in a BCS conference and 4 consecutive bowl losses are clear signs of a coach on the hot seat. Not many coaches could survive that.
