John Chavis is soon to be an LSU Tiger, Sure was wishing Kiffin would have kept him but I guess not. There was a report here on 680 The Fan, the atlanta based radio station reporting that Chavis had agreed to a deal and it would be announced very soon, I heard a nice lump sum of money. Chavis is going to be dangerous along with LSU, I just hope letting him go doesn't come back to bite us in the ass when UT plays LSU in 2010.

I knew LSU had some interest but I thought he was interviewing at Clemson today?

Don't worry Miles and a 10 yard cushion on receivers will take care of that!

I dont think that anyone has a good clue as to how lucky we will be to get Monte. Any team in the ncaa would want him.

Funny how people who make a living in football think he is a great DC but some of our fans are so much smarter...

Monte is almost 70 years old people, he took one of the hugest pay cuts ever to leave NFL and come to NCAA, hmmmm.. a big downgrade like that kinda tells me that he probably really won't even care that much, I mean who would want to work under their 30 something year old son when they are 70 and know a hell of a lot more about the game.

If Chavis is a "done deal" with LSU, I wonder how much of his conversation with Swinney was spent discussing Kevin Steele. There are rumors that Steele is also interested in speaking with Dabo about the DC position at Clemson.

I think he is owed some money from the UT....unless he takes another job. Someone can probably clarify but that's my recollection

Your insane...I liked the Chief but I bet the Chief would even say he is no Monte Kiffin and not worthy to be compared to.

Instead of paying homage to Fulmer you should change your name to Cutcliffite.

Dude, Chavis is a very good DC but Monte is a genius. He is a very young 68. We will be a beast on D

The new prevent can be called the CRAWDAD. Crawfish always swim backwards so it makes prefect sense.
