Darrin Kirkland Jr. was a limited participant in today's practice.

Not sure whether Vols’ Trey Smith has been officially cleared for contact yet, but he tossed Jarious Abercrombie like a rag doll in a drill today. Knocked him back so hard he fell down and fell into another O-lineman, and that guy fell, too. Abercrombie is 6-foot-4, 330 pounds.

Trey Smith was cleared for full contact today, and he wasted no time in showing off his physicality and getting back at it. He looked powerful and polished in several of the offensive line drills he ran through, and he drove one of Tennessee’s walk-ons to the ground in one drill

Chance Hall participated in full contact drills today, and that’s a good sign for the Vols’ talented offensive lineman.

Jauan Jennings participated in just about every drill the wide receivers went through, and he didn’t appear to be gimpy or going less than 100% today.

The wide receivers overall had a pretty decent day, though there were still a few drops.

Ja’Quain Blakely’s hands are actually a bit better than I expected them to be. I still think he’ll function mostly as a fullback and lead blocker for UT’s running backs, but he can actually catch the ball and will be hard to bring down once he’s running.

After being brought along slowly the last two weeks, Smith was back with the main group that also included Riley Locklear, Brandon Kennedy, Ryan Johnson and Drew Richmond.

Notably, Jahmir Johnson saw reps at both left tackle and left guard. He did several combo reps with Smith at LT and Johnson at LG. K’Rojhn Calbert was also at left guard, with Jerome Carvin at right guard. Chance Hall was also taking reps today.

Working in the pit: Cornerback Kenneth George, linebacker Darrin Kirkland Jr. and offensive linemen Eric Crosby, Marcus Tatum and Devante Brooks. Tatum was able to do some individual work. Also when we were leaving the field, Kirkland was jogging off to join a team period.

Both Jauan Jennings (who wasn’t wearing a single wrap or brace on his knee today) and Marquez Callaway looked good, though. Drops I saw included Josh Palmer, Brandon Johnson and Maleik Gray.

The defensive line was split into two groups Tuesday: One working with Tracy Rocker and the other working with the GA. Rocker’s group included Phillips, Tuttle, Johnson, Gooden and Harris, the lone freshman in the group.

It's obvious Smith has been waiting a long while to hit somebody, and that's been bad news for some of his own offensive line mates this month as he's nearly knocked a few of them to the ground during individual drills.

Right tackle Marcus Tatum appears to have been banged up in Saturday's scrimmage, because he was limited during individual drills on Tuesday. Tatum went through some drills, but did so without any gloves or wrist braces on. He did not go with the rest of the offensive line when they transitioned to inter-positional drills.

Linebacker Darrin Kirkland Jr. continued to work on the side with strength coach Craig Fitzgerald on Tuesday. Kirkland was joined on the side of Tuesday's practice by cornerback Kenneth George Jr.

Tyler Byrd dropped two passes, while Maleik Gray and Jacquez Jones also let the ball hit the turf.

After scrimmaging on Saturday, Jauan Jennings went through routes on air normally and caught the ball well. He went second in his line behind Josh Palmer, who quietly has had a solid camp. Marquez Callaway led the other receiver line, followed by freshman Cedric Tillman. Quarterbacks Jarrett Guarantano and Keller Chryst were both sharp on underneath routes.

Tennessee's three position changes from last week have lasted into this week. Kivon Bennett worked with the outside linebackers, Dillon Bates with the inside linebackers and Princeton Fant with the tight ends during Tuesday's practice.

Trey has a mean streak. You can see it. Now if the other linemen can get it.
I think that was evident when that video leaked of him whooping the a$$ of that ole miss recruit at the All American game for stealing his headphones and talking ish about his mama. Whew
