Collegiate WCBB generations could be termed 4-year spans as WCBB is not like MCBB where frosh come and go pro after 1-year. If one looks at the current WCBB generation of teams and their coaches, below is how Coach Warlick and her McDonald High School AA's stack up. Even though her career W-L % is admittedly higher in the low 70s%, one would suggest when a slugger in baseball used to be .240 hitter with 20-22 homers when young, and recently is a .220 hitter with 14-17 homers -- well, recent track record is more relevant along the lines of what have you done for us lately. I will suggest others can adjust for how the coaches have had different recruited talent levels, below is the objective W-L for last 3+ seasons:

But too many journalists do not bother to look at the numbers and they make recommendations to the longest, best fan base in WCBB. Tenn's LV and Coach Warlick are currently in 27th place in present WCBB generation/ collegiate career W-L %. If you go back in the last ten seasons, there are typically 3-4 programs in the 90s% and 4-5 in the 80s%, as well as 8-11 in the 70s%. In the high 60s% is very good for "decent" WCBB programs as they don't have the recruits that top-tier programs consistently get and they often don't have the level of coaching development one needs to take high school AA's and make them into college 1st team AA's. An example of Coach Warlick's development is #1 high school recruit Mercedes Russell is the first #1 to never attain 1st Team AP AA and never get to a FF. Coach Summitt's teams attained FF 58%, Auriemma's 56%, VanDerveer 30%, McGraw 22%, and Mulkey's teams have gotten to the FF 16% of the time for context. The excellent programs talk about getting to the FF and potential NC's, not accomplishing EE or SS. That would be like Babe Ruth saying at least in my off year due to whatever excuse, I hit 15 homers, more than most.
