Bama had one of the four One seeds in the NIT and lost at home last night in the Opening Round to eighth seeded Norfolk State.
Just wondering if this was a case of Bama not wanting to be there or if this a sign that the SEC is not as strong as we may have thought.

Goodness.

Bama was a 10 seed in the SEC tournament. Did anyone really think they were any good? That loss means nothing.

OMG. Really? Look there's nothing anyone can post that will ease the mind for these hand wringing fans.

Have faith in your team and conference or not. It's your choice

Tennessee beat Gonzaga
UK beat UNC

Gonzaga & UNC beat the overall #1 seed

LSU beat both Tennessee & UK

Not saying any of the three would beat Duke.........but they are strong for sure. At the very least, the top of the SEC is very good.

Absolutely NOT. IT's a joyous occasion that we all should celebrate.

Yep. And it goes to show that a team who underestimates an opponent...any opponent...can get bounced and embarrassed. UT better show up ready vs Colgate. I can't imagine the fallout from a loss to Colgate in the first damned round.

An NIT loss to a mid-major only means the power 5 team had no motivation to play. Means nothing for anyone else.
