Talking about 1970 Vols and the (still today) record holding Vol Defense.

Says he’s gonna eventually draw a correlation to today’s CJP Defense that he is building.

Mathews doesn’t believe in bullet board (he meant “ bulletin board”) material...but..

He says that EVERYDAY at practice...Tennessee players...when at the end of practice, when they are exhausted... need to be told that out of 66 Pre-Season accolades...only Calloway given a token mention as returner. They should be told “nobody thinks you are worth a $#|£!”

Now talking about recruiting in the State of Tennessee. EVERYclass should have at least 8-9 players from the State.

Talking about players UT signed that nobody wanted and turned out very well. Johnnie Jones, Dale Jones, Bubba Miller, etc. Also mentioned a couple they whiffed on. Now is talking about Double Dog's food.

Theme tying back to CJP Team building today to 1970 Vols...
1970 Vols had 65 takeaways on a 12 game schedule.

Ball hawking defense lead by DBs and specialty Linebackers being developed

Gave up on Mathews. Only way I could get his shows on my podcast app was through 104.5 the zone. Just so much 5-10 min junk content every day that it became a chore clearing out the stuff I didn't want. Until he has his own podcast feed to subscribe to, I'll pass.
