Tennessee vs Texas

Really want this one!!

During my years living in Texas (2000-2010), I was in Austin where CRB was not on the winning side. Hope he wins with the good guys this time.

I don't remember if it was every other year but I saw CPS get a good number of LV wins in Austin, too.

Hopefully this isn’t another Texas Tech kind of game but I’m afraid this game won’t break the 70 point mark for either team. Both teams rely on their defense and a grind-it-out offense. Really need Chandler and JJJ to be on their game tomorrow because Beard will make sure Vescovi doesn’t beat them. This would be a huge win if we can pull it off.

They’ve given up more than 66 twice all year, Gonzaga and Iowa State, wouldn’t be surprised at all if 65 wins this one…their pace is amkng the slowest in the country, if you play their pace and have a good offensive day you’ll still only put up about 65.

Bring home a win guys!
I frequent Austin quite a bit. If you guys are into fine dining, really good food, check out Garrison
If you want one of the best burgers in the city, El Camino Casino is a "very-Austin" kind of restaurant/bar. The Amarillo Burger there is to die for.

Safe travels!
Almost makes me want to drive over to Austin just for the eats. But I almost never even get to Houston anymore and I’m barely an hour from downtown. Customers needing our products all the rime now to keep those biogas plants running.

For anyone that made the trip, I highly recommend checking out shoal creek saloon. Best etouffee in town imo.

I know Rick is excited to be with his grandchildren. I think he said his grandson will be sitting with him on the bench. Or I may have dreamed that. 😩. Deep down Rick wants this one more than he’s said publicly.

Low key I love tech basketball. They are so long! Tech plays Texas on Tuesday and the Beard talk is going crazy

I can’t tell if this is a nice gesture/cool moment that Texas is honoring Rick at the game or kind of annoying that they fired him and now want to act like they didn’t do him dirty. Interesting to say the least.

While I understand this sentiment, I don’t think 99% of Texas fans and brass have any issue with Barnes. Everyone that would have beef in this situation would have been in former AD Steve Paterson’s admin for how Barnes/his staff were treated when he was fired. I think people in Austin hate Patterson as much as we hate Butch/Dooley/Kiffin/Currie/Cuonzo/etc. because of his gutting of men’s sports staff, leading to much of the instability at Texas now. That said, I know a lot of their fans were not unhappy to see Barnes go. In that regard, I would assume this is a “grass isn’t always greener on the other side” situation for Texas fans lol

You could tell Barnes enjoyed the chat. Also, Beard was extremely honest about his feelings and the respect he has for Rick, and it showed in that interview.

Casino El Camino was the best burger in town for years. Might still be but there's a lot more competition now. "Interesting" place, been many times.

I think they’ve given up 61+ in every one of their losses.
I guess 61 is the magic number for the Vols.
GBO!!
