Today is Pro Day on Rocky Top

and the NFL Scouts/Coaches will observe this morning's scrimmage, as well...




Participants Include:
Tennessee's three NFL Combine invitees – quarterback Joe Milton III, cornerback Kamal Hadden and running back Jaylen Wright – will be on hand Wednesday in addition to 12 other Vols. They include linebacker Aaron Beasley, place kicker Charles Campbell, tight end McCallan Castles, offensive lineman Jeremiah Crawford, defensive lineman Kurott Garland, defensive back Gabe Jeudy-Lally, wide receiver Ramel Keyton, offensive lineman Ollie Lane, defensive back Jaylen McCollough, running back Jabari Small, tight end Jacob Warren and return specialist Dee Williams.

With the kickoff rule changes this year in the NFL, I wonder if some teams will decide to have a dedicated roster spot for KR/PR specialists again. With the way the rule reads, it appears most kickoffs will be returnable again. If this ends up being the case, it wouldn't surprise me to see Dee Williams on an NFL roster at some point.

Got a hunch we will see the return of what used to be called super gnat KRs Fast little guys with wiggle. Hard to see, hard to catch, even some pros used them back in the day. Old bugs like, Reggie Smith, Noland Smith, and Mack Herron.
