Love his writing style. The fact that those other publications do not list CJH as a top 10 -20 coach is ridiculous. Meaning "people should make fun of them". That is what ridiculous means.

West didn't even mention that in the 2 prior meetings with Misery, we hung ~60 points on them each time. Nor did he mention that CJH took his greatly undermanned 2022 squad missing almost 30 scholarship players into Baton Rouge and TROUNCED an LSU team by ~5TDs despite them having top 10 recruiting classes every year for decades and a full roster to use. I actually like the national media dismissing our Coach and team this season. We can go into the season with a chip on our shoulders and remind folks how good our staff and team actually are...on the field. GBO

Not one of his better articles. I mean, it leads off with a messed-up metaphor (you don't keep rockets in hangers; you keep planes in hangers, and rockets on launch pads or rails), and goes on to spend most of the article whining.

I'm absolutely with Mr. West in believing that Josh Heupel is going to take the national media by surprise. He is much, much better than the credit they're giving him so far.

But "so far" is the important part. When we get into the playoffs, they'll come around some. When we win the SEC and/or national crown for the first time, they'll finally be convinced. Never let it be said that they lead...the national media just follows.

We can lead. We don't need to complain about it until the followers get in behind us.

Love Marvin West, but this wasn't one of his better entries.
