I feel so bad for the guy sorta. I liked his story. He was best friends in high school with Iowa's (current Chicago Bear) all-world punter Tory Taylor. Taylor lucked into the best team in the Nation for a punter. Iowa punters have set pretty much all single season punting records for the last 20 years. Now Ross is in a position where he might not get to show off his talents much if things keep going this way. Lets all support Jackson and hope all his punts are booming and fair caught inside the 10 going forward.

I think for the rest of the season if we are up more than 4 scores we punt on every third down just to get him like 2-3 a game.

He needs to make sure he punts it real good when he gets a chance. No more 30 yd punts.
His only punt in the NC State game was very good, sent it right down to the gunners and pinned them deep, on their own 8. They ran for one yard, threw incomplete, then ran a give-up play on third down. Our special teams effectively stole that possession from them (given that our defense was so stifling, of course).

there are plenty of guys who still get fat contracts in the NFL, if they pop at the combine or Senior Bowl type games. Also GMs arent stupid, they know why a guy doesnt have film. Not his faut he has a generational coach and talent on deck. He'll be fine. If anything he'll be easier to remember bc the reason why he doent have game film is kinda funny lol.

Punting on 1st down might not be a bad idea. That would surprise the hell out of people and might get us good field position lol

Wow took this long for someone to get the point lol....Its a joke thread Have fun. For once in the last almost 2 decades we have nothing to complain about this season. It feels so awesome to have to manufacture crap. When is the last game we went 3 straight games without meltdown threads. We have went for an entire season without a single FAHR X thread... We haven't had a streak of more than a week since easily 2000

Oh we get it. It's just kind of weird. He's a great athlete and I like his potential, especially the both legs bit. He's had fun on Instagram and such. His first punt of the year wasn't so great....

He has had 2 punts dude.... Every punter shanks a few.. ALL of them. he shanked 2 or 3 last year.. out of 55 and still averaged over 41 yards NET. If you didn't know 41 net is pretty good (he was 35th in the country 27th if you take out the guys that had less than 10 attempts) especially for a true freshman playing football for his first time ever. Chill out. If it becomes a habit that's one thing but he is fine.

I'm well aware of our punter. Thanks.
