Good time for a bye week.

Bye week came a great time - 1/3 thru the season, so we are starting to get an identity and we know what we need to clean up this week.
As OP said too, rest up from that physical beating at OU, especially the O Line.

Second bye week sets up nice as well.
Road win against Arky, host Florida, then the first BIG one when we host Bama - we will need that second bye week at that spot to get ready for the final run of 2 home games, THE road game at Athens, finish up with UTEP and Vandy.

All of the sudden, this schedule is looking very, very manageable and very friendly.

It is, OK has to come right back out and go to Auburn! Take Auburn and the points.

I wonder if all that new turf is floating around. (Still better than Oklahoma turf, though).

Everything is setting up nicely for a run this year. Maybe I’m drinking too much orange koolaid but there seems to be something about this team, something intangible that you just can’t wrap your head around. There’s just something insanely terrifying about Josh Heupel with an elite defense.
Imagine being a coach trying to prepare their team. You have zero room to fail anywhere. You may get by with a weak spot against other teams, but not against UT. One failure on either side of the ball and you'll be exposed and embarrased. . . and that's not even considering the wrinkles Heupel will install to attack you or create weaknesses you didn't even know you had. . . and also knowing that you can't slow the game and stall the offense, because we probably do that better than you too.

Very few teams are going to be able to compete with the Vols this season.
