The first game I attended in Neyland Stadium ws 1964. Art Galiffa was the QB, not a household name. It was also the first year for Coach Doug Dickey. Vols lost to Kentucky that day. Still, it was memorable to me. I'd been listening on radio to Tennessee before that, but there was no "quarterback" due to the single wing. I suppose Mallon Faircloth (tailback) was the closest thing to a QB.

My first game I watched (on TV, which was a very big deal back then) was the 1980 Bama game. The VOLS looked like crap, but they were my team from then on. I was 8.

--edit-- It was the ABC Game of the Week and I remember getting tired of Keith Jackson fluffing the Tide.
