Saban: Tennessee's Defense is the Real Deal

Tim Banks had no problem speaking the truth in pre-season when he said he thought the Vols have the #1 Defensive Line. That statement was not hyperbole. Garner and Inge have done
such a great job with the front 7, Gibson, and McCoy have been so good with tight coverage on the outside, we may never fine out if there is a weakness up the middle, and if there is, Jakoby Thomas is roaming around
out there causing problems. The opposing teams might be scared to try working the deep middle. This is the #1 defense in the country, period. No weakness.

Now, if any of you remember the time Bama just managed to avoid being beat by Ole Miss in Tuscaloosa, his postgame reply to a reporter asking how they pulled it off was, “Neyland’s maxims.”
Deep, way deep down in Saban's soul;
The man won't overtly admit he's a Vol.

Only this crowd wouldn’t know how to take a compliment.

Sheesh, folks, If you think:

1. Saban doesn’t know anything about football…at least on the college level (there’s the elbow to the ribs); and
2. Saban will say something he doesn’t believe….

Cmon…

I shouldn't like Saban but maaaan college gameday is so legit with him and Pat. Absolutely love listening to Saban break down plays and talk other teams. Love him or hate him, he's the best to ever do it and I'm happy he isn't a coach anymore so I can be a fan of his lol
I like Saban as an analyst.

Don't care what he has to say. When everyone could pay players, he got out. Good riddance!
Couldn't handle it in NFL as a 500 coach where you pay players and a rotational draft, ended up mediocre with small sample. A few teams knew how to navigate the college payola and he coached for 2 of them LSU & Bama. Still a good coach but like all Gamblers they do not want to gamble they want the Casino edge. When you don't have the edge you get out. If you ain't cheating you ain't trying, the Bama way.

They're a physical defense. You have to play that way.. Front 7 is much better than last year with depth.. OU backup Qb could extend plays. Arnold boy couldn't, he was hearing footsteps.. Tennessee's secondary really hasn't been tested. McCoy seems to be a really good transfer so far..
This is the BIG question..
