Question about our pace of play

I’ve heard some new thoughts about why our offense seems to be so slow that made a lot of sense. Obviously, anytime we get a good play or 2, someone on the other team looks to the sideline and dives on the ground, holding their calf. Until a rule is put in place, this is kryptonite to fast tempo teams. Therefore, we have to outsmart them in other ways. We can’t just line up fast and run any play and have them unprepared. A new concept is this new communication with the quarterback which allows someone (I assume Hype) to talk to Nico until there are 15 seconds on the play clock. So,what we do (and most teams do) is line up fast and look to the sideline. We see how they line up and tell Nico where to go with the ball. I’m not sure Nico ever reads anything. It’s like coaches are playing video games. Only problem is, the defense is getting input from the sideline also, and changes their play based on what we do. They know what we like to do based on the set. It evens the playing field when both offense and defense can change calls before the snap. CJH has always been an offensive guru and, as an optimist, I think he will adapt. Anyway, this theory seems to explain Nico staring at one spot, because that’s where he was told to go with the ball. Your thoughts?
