Neyland and Bradley were teammates on the baseball diamond. Meanwhile, Neyland and Dwight Eisenhower were teammates on the gridiron.

It was a time of living legends.

A Legend who died too soon. If he had only made into his 80's, Tennessee could have celebrated his life and accomplishments pre death, when Neyland might have softened and appreciated it more. He shunned the spotlight; and for a Man of his stature, that was an admirable trait.

There is a certain Bumma coach that wished he had never met him. Although there was probably a mutual respect between the two.
