Tennessee Ranked #7 (8th seed) in the CFP Rankings

May not but that’s our best win so far
I’d rather Georgia eliminate Ole Miss and take our chances at still getting in at 10-2 if we don’t get the win in Athens. Also, an LSU win of course. Cant stand Bama and their fans thinking they automatically belong. Nobody automatically belongs.

Key matchups -

Tennessee at UGA (provided both win this Saturday)
Indiana at OSU
Texas at A&M

Bama at LSU is a key matchup as it will determine if Bama stays in the picture or not. If LSU wins, and A&M continues to win one of them will move into the picture.

UGA at Ole Miss is interesting - Ole Miss could be a spoiler. Not sure though I want Tennessee playing a UGA team that must win to stay alive.

I don't think we can get in at 10-2. Maybe if the Georgia loss is a last second field goal or OT, but chances are slim of we lose in Athens.

That implies that the SEC will only get two teams in OR the committee will select a different 2 loss SEC teams over Tennessee.

There are only 3 SEC teams with 1 loss. Two of those teams play each other (TN at UGA) - that will leave only 2 SEC teams with the potential to have only 1 loss. Assuming those 2 teams win out - those two would play each other giving one of them 2 losses.

It is all about positioning at this point and if a team loses, making sure the loss is not a devastating one.

There are 4 SEC teams and 4 B1G teams in the top 12. Tennessee needs to remain at no less than the third best SEC team in these polls.

I like the road we have if that were to hold true. I think we could beat Indiana and Oregon. I think Ohio States defense is better than what most SEC fans give them credit for. Would be an ugly low scoring game.

Oregon scares me in a general sense but for some reason I don’t hate the idea of playing them in the second round. They’re a really good team that we don’t get to play often, and if we got past them we’d have a great shot at winning the whole thing, imo. Lace ‘em up and see what happens.

I don’t think Indians would give us too much trouble. Oregon? I don’t know if we could win that one.
