The Tennessee Volunteers Football team...

...struggled to be bowl eligible, winning less than five games in the regular season? '05, '08, '11, '12, '13, '17, '18, '20...six out of ten years!

...went an entire decade winning only 50% of their games? 2010-2020

...lost to all three of Alabama, Florida, and Georgia in 11 out of 14 years? (79% loss between 2008-2021)

...went 9-49 in games versus AP top 25 ranked teams? (84% loss between 2010-2021)

...won 0 out of 39 games versus AP top 10 ranked teams? 2007-2021

...went 29-61 versus SEC opponents? (68% loss between 2010-2020)

Football life feels so much better these days. Never thought UT would dig out of the hole. Keep putting on more steam!

We’ve only won less than 5 games twice, ‘17 and ‘20. Did you mean less than 6?

I'm old enough to remember when we went 4-6 including a loss to Chattanooga.

Addendum: And when we won two national championships. The interesting thing is that only 8 years separated the 4-6 year from the first referenced national championship.

In about 15 years or so, we probably see a thread surface asking the board if we remember when a beer in Neyland was only $13.00.

"Old enough to remember...?"

To paraphrase Mark Twain (in his dotage):
"When I was younger, I could remember anything, whether it had happened or not.
Now, I can only remember the things that never happened."

I'm old enough to remember those days.
BUT, I'm also old enough to remember going 16 years STRAIGHT prior to that without missing a bowl game.
Routinely whipping Bama and UGA.
At one point we were something ridiculous like 50-5 in part of that stretch...

My point being is I'm old enough to remember the top of the mountain, the tumble down the side of it, and the climb back up.
NEVER, NEVER, EVER take our current situation for granted !!!

I have whatever I feel necessary pre-game at the tailgate. Water during the game. I don't like being drunk during a game. I want to watch intensely, enjoy it and most importantly, remember it. So those preferred modes of behavior keep the costs down in any venue. I spend plenty on other activities associated with UT

I'm old enough to remember students in the middle of Cumberland Avenue yelling "go to hell, 'Bama" on Oct. 16, 1982. It's a bit piecemeal going much further back than that. I'm also old enough to just make stuff up now, too, so there's that.

Shiiiiiitt already up to 15 now. A little trivia, was at the first game beer was sold. Fitting it was against BYU and we lost.
