Germany for UGA game

I was there for several games a few weeks ago and saw games using YouTube premium and searched for Live Broadcast. Set alarm and wake up about 1 a.m. German time and you may find the game as well as other SEC night games. Not sure if regular YouTube will work. Sports Animal radio broadcasts used to be blocked in Europe for streaming - not sure now. If nothing else works ESPN gamecast can follow a game. Some sports bars do carry college sports but that can be hard to find. Being the prime time ABC game it could happen.

First - good luck. I can only give you my experience.

two years ago I was in reykjavik for the season opener. Started to panic cause I couldnt get the video either thru utsports.com or comcast. I ended up having to sign up on espn thru england. Cost 7 pounds but there was a free 7 day period. watched the game on my computer then canceled. worked great

Now the bad. last year I was in germany for the vanderbilt game. Did not have as much luck as I did in Iceland. Finally found you need a VPN on you computer to be able to watch a game. In the end I listened to the game thru the audio feed on utsports.com.

I think your prob will be you cant prep to be able to watch the game until you are there and have to go thru the steps.

I will be in Germany for the UGA game. What do other VOL fans do when overseas for late games? Watch the replay Sunday morning or pull the all nighter?
With all the night games this year, it's been very easy for me to wake up at 8 or 9am on Sundays and watch the game. Honestly it's been fantastic, my sleep schedule is usually shot during college football season due to all-nighters or waking up at between 3 and 5am.

Since you mentioned you'll be in Germany specifically for the UGA game, I have to wonder if you're currently Stateside (or elsewhere) and could be jet-lagged come gametime. You might be awake or restless anyway. Regardless, I second knox73's suggestion and searching "UT Vols" on YouTube if you want to watch live. You should get a quality live stream that rarely cuts out (your mileage may vary depending on your internet connection, though). If you absolutely need some sleep, I would recommend waking up at halftime (between 3:00 and 4:00) to watch the ending.

And hey, if our recent first-half performances are anything to go by, the second half may be the only one worth watching!

I will be in Europe for the Christmas Markets during the Vandy game and plan to watch on my laptop with my YouTube TV subscription. I take my kids every year to the Alsace region of France for Marche de Noel. This year we are also spending a few days in Vienna.

Innsbruck and Salzburg were great too if you have time to check those out. I loved Austria.

Innsbruck is one of my favorite places on the planet. And just a few miles to the west, near the airport, is the charming village of Völs
I sometimes dream of retiring there and opening a Vols themed cafe 😂

Man, what do sone of you folks do for a living? A European trip for me takes several years of saving up 😳. But well worth it
Get yourself a good bottle of Gewürtztraminer while you are there 🍷
Ps, if any of you folks in Europe ever hear of some good database or Linux contracts over that way, please DM me 😀

I will be in Stuttgart, was planning to take my firestick with a VPN. I use a local tv service in NC that I have loaded as an app on the firestick. Seems like the consensus is to pull the all nighter. No work on Sunday so not too worried about the next day. If that doesn’t work, I was going to watch the YouTube link Freak posts immediately following the game. Should be 5 am by that time so not too early. Thanks for the responses! Go Big Orange!

I went to the Christmas markets last year just south of Innsbruck in the northern Dolomites of Italy. We were in Vipiteno which is in Italy but on the Austrian border. That area of Italy was originally part of Germany before Mussolini annexed it to Italy so the Christmas markets are the German Chriskindle markets and are fantastic. We also went an amazing one in Bolzano, Italy also just south of Innsbruck.
One of my favorite trips ever.

We went to Gamish-Partenkirchen last year about the first of December, which is beautiful by itself, and ran down to Innsbruck for a day just to see it. I saw that huge Christmas market there. The city is beautiful itself.

Went to Munich and their market is unbelievable. Standing in the middle of the square with the markets all around listening to the glockspiel while snow was falling was the most Christmas thing I think I've ever done.

Lol, just a heads up… Freak isn’t always in a huge hurry to post the games after a loss. So if you do have to watch the game the morning after, it might be a spoiler if you wake up and can’t find it. That’s how I learned about the South Carolina incident 😆

However, it is a great way to watch the game. Freak does an excellent job of editing out the commercials and halftime. I was in England for two years and could stream via ESPN Player for the first year, but they stopped that service just before last season. I couldn’t even stream with a VPN. Sometimes I could get the games on YouTube, but that was hit or miss.

Avoiding the score and waking up Sunday mornings to drink coffee and watch Freak’s YouTube games became a very nice routine. Thanks Freak, That was a really good time!
