I’m 41 years old and a third generation Vol fan, born in Tennessee (Johnson City), but moved to North Carolina in elementary school. Parents didn’t have a lot of money so as a child never was able to go. Joined the military at age 21 and lived all over the country, so getting to a game was difficult.
This year I decided it was time and my schedule lined up. Neyland was everything I could dream of! The lights, the atmosphere, the sea of orange, the band, the crowd. There truly is no place like it! I sat high up in row R and was covered by stands above us, but halfway through the 4th as people left my wife and I moved down and could see the entire stadium. It was magical. Something I will never forget, and I will definitely make it to more games!
